Earning his bachelor’s degree in communications at age 40, John was offered an internship at WFSB on the Assignment Desk. There he worked with reporters on filming, writing, and editing stories for the evening news.

As property manager for a condo complex, he was accustomed to working collaboratively with a 5-member board, oversaw contractors for building and maintenance, negotiating bids for capital improvements, as well as implementing adherence to the By Laws.

For ten years he was a substitute in Special Education at Glastonbury High School. There he cemented his commitment to quality education for all children.

His many years at MYAL as coach for Little League baseball and basketball as well as girls' soccer allowed him to teach the players the importance of teamwork, compromise, and support for one another.

A volunteer feeding the homeless through two full-time church programs put a human face on a problem many choose to ignore.

John's commitment to the residents of Marlborough is to help grow a welcoming and viable community for all residents.
