Letter to the Editor, November 3: Voting for Rizza

Until a few days ago I hadn’t given much thought to how the Marlborough ballot will look on Nov. 7. It has now become clear that if I want John Rizza to become one of our town’s next Selectmen, it will be critical to vote for only one selectman candidate, John Rizza on the Democratic Line A. That way John’s vote will not be diluted by adding to the other candidates’ numbers. Despite the fact that one could vote for “up to three,” I want my vote to help John win.

So I urge Marlborough voters who feel as I do that John will bring reason and a positive attitude to the board to vote for Just John. As a member of the Board of Selectmen, he will be a steady voice as together they work to find common ground in the best interests of all Marlborough residents.

My vote for the future well-being of Marlborough is for John Rizza!

Sincerely, Walter F. Carroll – Marlborough

Marlborough is lucky to have such beautiful natural resources with Lake Terramuggus, nature trails, and wildlife. This natural beauty is part of what makes our town great. The MDTC is proud to endorse a candidate that shares these values. Vote for John Rizza for Marlborough Selectman on November 7th!

To the Editor: It is exciting, encouraging and even inspiring to see a young man, Nick Hale, step forward to run for office on the the Democratic slate in Marlborough. Nick grew up in Marlborough, attended both MES and RHAM and is now a UCONN student studying Political Science. He is particularly concerned about the availability of housing for young people starting careers being able to afford to live in Marlborough. He is a candidate for the Zoning Commission, alternate position. He grew up in Marlborough and values the quality of life in this wonderful town.

Thank you Nick, for stepping up. We need to hear from the perspective of young people whose future is impacted by decisions made by today’s leaders. Let’s elect Nick Hale on November 7 to bring the concerns of generation Z to the table. Respectfully submitted, Dianne Dunn
